Friendship Week

Hey guys! Did you think we forgot about this project? Oops! Well, we're trying to get back on track. In the spirit of friendship week and getting back to the project, I made Brittany a colorful calendar with the holidays listed so we would be prepared for the rest of the year. Have you done anything special for your friends recently?

Universal Letter Writing Week

According to our friends at the International Society of Friendship and Good Will, this week is Universal Letter Writing Week. I wrote a letter to my husband, Roy. A word of warning: never tell your husband you wrote him a letter and leave the room. He was very concerned until he saw my silly stickers! When's the last time you wrote someone an actual letter?

National Conserve Energy Day! Here are some great tips.

In recognition of National Conserve Energy day I thought I would give some great and easy tips on conserving energy.
1. Unplug appliances that you seldom use. Even when they are turned off electricity is still be used. This includes plugs for electronics such as phone chargers.
2. In the winter you should set your thermostat to 68 degrees. You should also use the sunlight during the day to help heat up your house. Raise blinds and pull back curtains to get some natural heat.
3. If you are leaving your house for a few days turn your thermostat to 78 this will save energy while still keep your house at a normal temperature.
4. Here is one that I hadn't thought of, when you are using the oven try not to peek inside. Meaning leave the door shut as much as possible. The more heat you let out the more electricity you are using to keep it at that temperature.
5. Finally, when you are washing clothes make sure you have the water set to the correct load size. The less water you use the less electricity you will use.

I hope these help and now you can celebrate this holiday with us!

Ironically enough today was National Clean your Desk day. This was the best holiday for us to start with because I know that our desk were in some serious need of a good clean. The before shots say it all. Although I was not super excited about celebrating this holiday, but after it was all said and done it was an amazing feeling. The before and after shots are below.

National Clean Your Desk Off Day!

In recognition of National Clean Your Desk Off Day, I attempted to straighten up my tiny work area.
